MCT-441 is a natural gas detector that provides rapid warnings about natural gas leaks (methane CH4) commonly used for cooking, home heating, water heating, etc. Methane CH4 is toxic and highly flammable. When mixed with air, can pose a choking hazard and, if there is an ignition source, such as a spark of an electrical appliance faulty or even to turn on the light, can cause an explosion.
The MCT-441 is fully supervised, transmits all alerts to the PowerMax, which activates the alarm and forwards the alert message to a central alarm monitoring or to a private telephone number. This allows a rapid and effective response to danger, warning those who are asleep, as well as children, the elderly and even pets that may be home alone, and subject to a potential hazard.
Natural gas is colorless and tasteless. Although most gas companies add an artificial odor, the smell is not always immediately noticed. This makes the rapid identification of a gas leak, vital to health and life.
The MCT-441 transmits supervisory reports to the panel at regular intervals ensuring the integrity and functionality of the system.
