Equipped with a high-precision omnidirectional electret microphone, it covers a detection radius of up to 9 meters (29.5 ft) at a 180° horizontal angle. To filter out common ambient noise (such as thunder, barking dogs, or heavy traffic), the device employs the DualTone digital processing algorithm, which requires sequential verification of a low-frequency impact thud and a high-frequency glass shattering sound within 1.5 seconds before raising an alarm.
