The Ajax Superior MotionProtect Fibra in black is a wired passive infrared (PIR) motion detector designed for indoor volumetric intrusion protection across residential and commercial premises. Equipped with a high-precision PIR sensor paired with a Fresnel optical lens, it detects human presence at distances up to 12 meters (39.4 ft) across an 88.5° horizontal and 80° vertical coverage angle. Driven by the SmartDetect proprietary digital algorithm, the unit continuously evaluates environmental thermal radiation to pinpoint human motion signatures while filtering out environmental noise caused by air drafts or temperature variations.
The unit features intelligent pet immunity, ignoring pets weighing up to 20 kg (44 lb) and measuring up to 50 cm (1.6 ft) in height when installed at the standard recommended height of 2.4 meters. It adheres to strict European security compliance standards, holding EN 50131 Grade 2, NFA2P, and PD 6662:2017 certifications.
#### Physical Anti-Tamper Protection and Advanced Fibra Bus Technology
The housing is fitted with a physical anti-tamper switch that instantly alerts the system hub upon case opening or removal from the SmartBracket wall mount. It also includes an integrated ambient temperature sensor for remote diagnostics and continuous thermal compensation.
Event routing and power delivery operate via the Fibra proprietary wired bus protocol. This encrypted bi-directional bus technology offers complete line sabotage immunity, line short-circuit protection, and supports bus runs up to 2,000 meters.
