The Ajax Superior GlassProtect Fibra in black is a high-performance wired glass break detector engineered to protect windows, glass doors, store fronts, and glazed enclosures in commercial and residential properties. Equipped with a high-precision omnidirectional electret microphone, it covers a detection radius of up to 9 meters (29.5 ft) at a 180° horizontal angle. To filter out common ambient noise (such as thunder, barking dogs, or heavy traffic), the device employs the DualTone digital processing algorithm, which requires sequential verification of a low-frequency impact thud and a high-frequency glass shattering sound within 1.5 seconds before raising an alarm.
The unit meets strict European security standards, holding EN 50131 Grade 2, NFA2P, and PD 6662:2017 certifications. Furthermore, it incorporates an auxiliary input terminal for connecting an external Normally Closed (NC) dry-contact sensor, enabling installers to pair third-party magnetic contacts or vibration sensors.
#### Physical Anti-Tamper Protection and Advanced Fibra Bus Technology
The enclosure is equipped with a physical tamper switch that triggers an immediate notification if the cover is opened or the device is detached from its SmartBracket mounting panel. It also contains an integrated temperature sensor for continuous remote diagnostic tracking.
Power supply and data transmission operate through the Fibra proprietary wired bus protocol. This bus technology delivers instant bi-directional encrypted communication, bus short-circuit protection, and line lengths up to 2,000 meters.
