The Ajax DomeCam HLVF (5 Mp) enhances ceiling and wall security by combining a motorized 2.8–12 mm varifocal lens with a vandal-resistant dome form factor. Engineered to cover wide-angle panoramic views (111°) down to tight, distant detail shots (31°), it allows operators to adjust zoom and autofocus settings remotely directly from the Ajax app. This eliminates manual lens adjustments on ladders during installation. Equipped with a 5 MP CMOS sensor (2880 × 1620 px at 25 FPS) and advanced Hybrid Illumination technology, it utilizes IR LEDs up to 30 meters for discrete night monitoring, instantly switching to full-color white light spotlights (up to 30 meters) upon key motion events. It works standalone on a MicroSD card or linked to Ajax recorders.

Its chip-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine performs video analysis locally on the device, minimizing false alarms while accurately classifying humans, vehicles, and pets. Constructed with a heavy-duty die-cast metal dome alloy holding an IP65 weatherproof rating and IK10 vandal-resistant impact protection, the DomeCam HLVF is built for exposed mounting areas.
