VTNS2003B-2 – Dahua 2-Wire Switch for Video Intercom

The VTNS2003B-2 is a Dahua 2-wire switch designed for video intercom systems that use communication over a two-wire infrastructure. It provides a practical way to organize and expand connections between different devices within the system, combining 2-wire interfaces with RJ45 Ethernet ports for a flexible and structured installation.

The device supports the connection of up to 20 indoor monitors and 2 door stations, making it suitable for video intercom installations with multiple devices. Cascade capability also makes it possible to expand the infrastructure when a project requires a larger number of connected units.

2-wire switch with up to 10 cascade levels

One of the main features of this Dahua switch is its ability to support up to 10 cascade levels through its 2-wire ports. This feature allows systems with multiple switches to be structured according to the connection and distribution requirements of the installation.

The unit provides two 2-wire ports for cascading and one 2-wire port for devices. This arrangement makes it possible to organize the infrastructure according to the configuration required for the video intercom system.

RJ45 Ethernet 10/100 Mbps ports

In addition to 2-wire communication, the VTNS2003B-2 integrates two RJ45 Ethernet 10/100 Mbps ports. This combination allows Ethernet connections to be incorporated into the system and provides greater flexibility when integrating the different components of the installation.

The VTNS2003B-2 also features 4 LED status indicators, providing visual information about the operating status of the equipment during installation, operation or system maintenance.

48 VDC power supply and DIN rail mounting

The switch operates with a 48 VDC, 1 A–5 A power supply, while the power adapter is specified by Dahua as optional. A power converter cable is included as an accessory.

Installation is performed by DIN rail mounting, making the unit particularly suitable for technical cabinets and installations where equipment needs to remain properly organized. The enclosure is manufactured from PC + ABS and has a white finish.

Compact dimensions for system integration

With dimensions of 131.1 × 103 × 40 mm and a net weight of approximately 0.25 kg, the device has a compact format that facilitates integration into the system infrastructure.

The specified operating temperature ranges from –10 °C to +55 °C, with an operating relative humidity of 10%–95%, non-condensing. The specified operating altitude is from 0 to 3000 metres, while power consumption is rated at up to 15 W (KIT).
