VTM115 – Dahua Surface Mount Box:
The VTM115 is a Dahua surface mount box designed for the surface installation of compatible outdoor stations in video intercom systems. This solution allows the equipment to be installed directly onto the wall without preparing the recessed housing required for a flush-mounted installation.
Manufactured from AL5052 aluminium with a thickness of 2.0 mm, the VTM115 features a construction specifically designed to house and secure the outdoor station. Its compact dimensions allow the installation point to be prepared neatly and the equipment to be mounted according to the procedure specified by Dahua.
Surface mounting provides an alternative to flush installation. In this configuration, the box is installed directly onto the wall surface and is then ready to accommodate the compatible outdoor station.
According to the Dahua installation procedure, the VTM115 uses four wall mounting points. The installation diagram specifies a spacing of 101.0 × 72.0 mm between the mounting points. The box is secured using ST4×25 self-tapping screws and the installation components specified by the manufacturer.
The VTM115 can be used with the Dahua VTO2202F-P and VTO2202F-P-S3 outdoor stations. It therefore provides a surface mounting solution for these devices when the project configuration does not require a flush mount box.
Before installation, it is recommended to confirm the exact outdoor station model and check the characteristics of the mounting surface, as well as the routing of the cabling required for the video intercom system.
The box is manufactured from AL5052 with a thickness of 2.0 mm. The external dimensions of the VTM115 are 129.0 × 95.0 × 28.5 mm, allowing the compatible outdoor station to be housed in a surface-mounted configuration.
The specific design and dimensions of the box help keep the equipment correctly positioned during installation. Once the box has been secured to the wall, the outdoor station is placed inside and fixed from the bottom using two M3×8 screws, according to the Dahua installation procedure.
The installation procedure uses wall fixing components together with protective elements at the mounting points. Correct preparation of the surface and fixing points facilitates the alignment of the surface mount box and the subsequent installation of the outdoor station.
Cable routing should also be prepared before the box is permanently secured. This allows the installation to be properly organised and ensures that the necessary cabling is available before the final mounting of the equipment.
The VTM115 provides a dedicated solution for projects requiring the surface installation of compatible Dahua outdoor stations. Its AL5052 construction, 2.0 mm thickness and dimensions of 129.0 × 95.0 × 28.5 mm allow the installation point for the video intercom equipment to be prepared correctly.
