The NVR4108HS-4KS3 is a Dahua Lite 8-channel NVR designed for professional IP video surveillance systems. It supports cameras with resolution up to 12MP, bandwidth up to 80 Mbps and integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels through the recorder's built-in artificial intelligence.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 allows connection and management of up to 8 IP cameras, making it suitable for small and medium-sized video surveillance installations requiring high image quality, centralised recording and intelligent functions.
The recorder supports IP cameras with resolutions of 12MP, 8MP, 6MP, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, 960p, 720p, D1, CIF and QCIF. This compatibility allows high-resolution cameras to be used in professional IP video surveillance systems.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels through recorder-side AI. SMD Plus performs secondary filtering of people and motor vehicles, helping reduce false alarms caused by leaves, rain and changes in lighting conditions.
In addition to the SMD Plus integrated into the recorder, the NVR supports AI functions provided by compatible cameras, including face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD, people counting, stereo analysis and heat map.
With compatible cameras, the NVR4108HS-4KS3 supports perimeter protection on up to 6 channels. This allows intelligent video analysis functions provided directly by the IP cameras to be integrated into the surveillance system.
The NVR supports face detection and face recognition through compatible cameras on all channels, up to 6 targets per second. Supported facial attributes include gender, age group, glasses, expressions, face mask and beard.
In addition to the 4 SMD Plus channels processed by the recorder, the NVR supports SMD from compatible cameras on all channels, up to 12 targets per second.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 provides up to 80 Mbps incoming bandwidth, 80 Mbps recording bandwidth and 60 Mbps outgoing bandwidth, allowing efficient management of video streams from connected cameras.
With AI disabled, the NVR supports decoding up to 1 channel 12MP@30 fps, 2 channels 8MP@30 fps, 2 channels 6MP@30 fps, 3 channels 5MP@30 fps, 4 channels 4MP@30 fps or 8 channels 1080p@30 fps.
With AI enabled, the NVR4108HS-4KS3 supports up to 1 channel 12MP@30 fps, 1 channel 8MP@30 fps, 2 channels 6MP@30 fps, 2 channels 5MP@30 fps, 3 channels 4MP@30 fps or 7 channels 1080p@30 fps.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+ and H.264 video compression. Smart H.265+ helps optimise bandwidth usage and storage capacity.
The recorder includes 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output. When operating simultaneously, the HDMI output supports resolution up to 3840 × 2160 (4K), allowing high-resolution images to be displayed on a compatible monitor.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 includes 1 SATA port for installation of a hard drive with capacity up to 20TB. Maximum supported capacity may vary depending on ambient temperature.
The NVR supports simultaneous playback of up to 8 channels and supports general, motion detection, intelligent and alarm recording modes. Playback can be instant, general, event-based, tag-based or smart playback.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 supports ONVIF 24.12 Profile T, Profile S and Profile G, CGI and SDK. It is also compatible with third-party cameras, facilitating integration into professional multi-brand IP video surveillance systems.
The recorder supports remote access through iOS and Android devices and supports several network protocols, including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, RTSP, UDP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, UPnP, FTP, DDNS, SNMP and P2P.
The NVR4108HS-4KS3 includes 1 RCA audio input and 1 RCA audio output. It supports general alarms, abnormality alarms and intelligent events from compatible devices.
The NVR features a compact 1U design with dimensions of 260 × 232.5 × 47.6 mm. It uses a 12 VDC / 2 A power supply and consumes less than 10 W without HDD.
