The NVR4104HS-EI is a Dahua WizSense 4-channel NVR designed for professional IP video surveillance systems that require advanced AI functions. It supports cameras with resolution up to 16MP, integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels, perimeter protection on 2 channels and face detection and recognition functions through the intelligence of the recorder itself.

The NVR4104HS-EI allows connection and management of up to 4 IP cameras. WizSense technology adds advanced AI functions to the system, making this NVR suitable for installations requiring more accurate video analysis than a conventional recorder.

Built-in AI on the NVR4104HS-EI

The artificial intelligence integrated into the NVR4104HS-EI supports face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection and SMD. This allows several intelligent functions to be processed directly by the recorder without relying exclusively on camera-side AI.

SMD Plus on 4 channels

The NVR4104HS-EI provides SMD Plus on 4 channels through recorder-side AI. SMD Plus performs secondary filtering of people and motor vehicles, helping reduce false alarms caused by leaves, rain or changes in lighting conditions.

Perimeter protection on 2 channels

Perimeter protection using the NVR's AI is available on 2 channels, with support for up to 10 IVS rules per channel. This function helps create more efficient video surveillance systems for analysing relevant events.

Face detection by recorder

The NVR4104HS-EI supports face detection on 1 channel through built-in AI, processing up to 12 face images per second. Supported facial attributes include gender, age group, glasses, expression, face mask and beard.

Face recognition and databases

The face recognition system supports up to 10 databases with 20,000 images, with a total capacity of 2.5 GB. Each face image can be associated with information such as name, gender, date of birth, address, ID type and number, country or region and status.

AI functions through compatible cameras

In addition to the recorder's built-in AI, the NVR4104HS-EI supports intelligent functions from compatible cameras, including face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD, ANPR, people counting, stereo analysis and heat map.

Compatible with cameras up to 16MP

The NVR supports IP cameras with resolutions of 16MP, 12MP, 8MP, 6MP, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, 960p, 720p, D1 and CIF, allowing very high-resolution cameras to be used in professional video surveillance systems.

80/80/80 Mbps bandwidth

The NVR4104HS-EI provides up to 80 Mbps incoming bandwidth, 80 Mbps recording bandwidth and 80 Mbps outgoing bandwidth, allowing efficient management of video streams from connected cameras.

High-resolution video decoding

With AI disabled, the NVR supports decoding up to 2 channels 16MP@30 fps, 2 channels 12MP@30 fps or 4 channels 8MP@30 fps. With AI enabled, it supports up to 1 channel 16MP@30 fps, 2 channels 12MP@30 fps, 3 channels 8MP@30 fps, 3 channels 6MP@30 fps or 4 channels 5MP@30 fps.

Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+

The NVR4104HS-EI supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG video compression. Smart H.265+ helps optimise bandwidth usage and storage capacity in IP video surveillance systems.

4K HDMI and VGA output

The recorder includes 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output. The HDMI output supports resolution up to 3840 × 2160 (4K), allowing high-resolution images to be displayed on a compatible monitor.

1 SATA HDD up to 20TB

The NVR4104HS-EI includes 1 SATA port for installation of a hard drive with capacity up to 20TB. Maximum supported capacity may vary depending on ambient temperature.

Recording and playback up to 4 channels

The NVR supports simultaneous playback of up to 4 channels and provides general, motion detection, intelligent and alarm recording modes. Playback can be instant, general, event-based, tag-based or smart playback.

ONVIF and multi-brand integration

The NVR4104HS-EI supports ONVIF Profile T, Profile S and Profile G, CGI and SDK. It is also compatible with cameras from different manufacturers, facilitating integration into professional multi-brand IP video surveillance systems.

Remote access via iOS and Android

The recorder supports remote access from iOS and Android devices and supports network protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, RTSP, SNMP, UDP, SMTP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, FTP and P2P, among others.

Audio and alarm management

The NVR4104HS-EI includes 1 RCA audio input and 1 RCA audio output and supports intelligent events such as face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD Plus, people counting, stereo analysis and heat map when compatible devices are used.

Compact 1U design

The NVR features a compact 1U design with dimensions of 260 × 232.7 × 47.6 mm. It uses a 12 VDC / 2 A power supply and consumes less than 10 W without HDD.
