The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 is a Dahua Lite 8-channel NVR with 8 integrated PoE ports, designed for professional IP video surveillance systems. It supports cameras with resolution up to 12MP, integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels and can directly power up to 8 IP cameras through the built-in PoE ports.

The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 allows connection and management of up to 8 IP cameras. The 8 PoE 10/100 Mbps ports, compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at, allow data and power to be transmitted through the same network cable, simplifying installation of the video surveillance system.

Built-in PoE with total power up to 72 W

The 8 PoE ports provide a total power budget of up to 72 W, with a maximum of 25.5 W per port. This solution allows compatible PoE IP cameras to be powered directly without requiring an external PoE switch.

IP cameras with resolution up to 12MP

The recorder supports IP cameras with resolutions of 12MP, 8MP, 6MP, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, 960p, 720p, D1, CIF and QCIF, allowing high-resolution cameras to be integrated into professional IP video surveillance systems.

SMD Plus on 4 channels

The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels through recorder-side AI. SMD Plus performs secondary filtering of people and motor vehicles, helping reduce false alarms caused by leaves, rain and changes in lighting conditions.

AI through compatible cameras

In addition to the SMD Plus integrated into the recorder, the NVR supports AI functions provided by compatible cameras, including face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD, people counting, stereo analysis and heat map.

Perimeter protection through the camera

With compatible cameras, the NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 supports perimeter protection on up to 6 channels, allowing intelligent video analysis functions provided directly by IP cameras to be used.

Face detection and recognition through the camera

The NVR supports face detection and face recognition through compatible cameras on all channels, with performance of up to 6 targets per second. Supported facial attributes include gender, age group, glasses, expressions, face mask and beard.

SMD through compatible cameras

In addition to the 4 SMD Plus channels processed by the recorder, the NVR supports SMD from compatible cameras on all channels, with performance of up to 12 targets per second.

Bandwidth up to 160/160/80 Mbps

With AI disabled, the NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 provides up to 160 Mbps incoming bandwidth, 160 Mbps recording bandwidth and 80 Mbps outgoing bandwidth. With AI enabled, it provides up to 80 Mbps incoming, 80 Mbps recording and 60 Mbps outgoing.

Decoding up to 8 channels 1080p@30 fps

With AI disabled, the NVR supports decoding up to 1 channel 12MP@30 fps, 2 channels 8MP@30 fps, 2 channels 6MP@30 fps, 3 channels 5MP@30 fps, 4 channels 4MP@30 fps or 8 channels 1080p@30 fps.

Decoding with AI enabled

With AI enabled, the NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 supports up to 1 channel 12MP@30 fps, 1 channel 8MP@30 fps, 2 channels 6MP@30 fps, 2 channels 5MP@30 fps, 3 channels 4MP@30 fps or 7 channels 1080p@30 fps.

Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+

The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+ and H.264 video compression. Smart H.265+ helps optimise bandwidth usage and storage capacity.

4K HDMI and VGA output

The recorder includes 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output. When operating simultaneously, the HDMI output supports resolution up to 3840 × 2160 (4K), allowing high-resolution images to be displayed on a compatible monitor.

1 SATA HDD up to 20TB

The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 includes 1 SATA port for installation of a hard drive with capacity up to 20TB. Maximum supported capacity may vary depending on ambient temperature.

Recording and playback up to 8 channels

The NVR supports simultaneous playback of up to 8 channels and provides general, motion detection, intelligent and alarm recording modes. Playback can be instant, general, event-based, tag-based or smart playback.

ONVIF and multi-brand integration

The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 supports ONVIF 24.12 Profile T, Profile S and Profile G, CGI and SDK. It is also compatible with third-party cameras, facilitating integration into professional multi-brand IP video surveillance systems.

Remote access via iOS and Android

The recorder supports remote access through iOS and Android devices and supports several network protocols, including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, RTSP, UDP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, UPnP, FTP, DDNS, SNMP and P2P.

Audio and alarm management

The NVR4108HS-8P-4KS3 includes 1 RCA audio input and 1 RCA audio output. It supports general alarms, abnormality alarms and intelligent events from compatible devices.

Compact 1U design

The NVR features a compact 1U design with dimensions of 260 × 232.5 × 47.6 mm. It uses a 53 VDC / 1.81 A power supply and the NVR consumes less than 10 W without HDD, with a total PoE power budget of up to 72 W.
