The NVR4232-EI is a Dahua WizSense 32-channel NVR designed for professional IP video surveillance systems requiring high recording capacity, advanced artificial intelligence functions and flexible storage. It supports IP cameras with resolutions up to 16MP, integrates AI functions directly into the recorder and features 2 SATA ports for hard drives with capacities of up to 20TB each.

NVR4232-EI with 32 IP channels

The NVR4232-EI allows connection and management of up to 32 IP cameras. It is suitable for professional installations with a large number of cameras, including businesses, warehouses, commercial buildings, industrial facilities and other medium to large IP video surveillance systems.

Resolution up to 16MP

The NVR4232-EI supports IP cameras with resolutions of 16MP, 12MP, 8MP, 6MP, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, 720p, 960p, D1 and CIF. Compatibility with cameras up to 16MP allows high-resolution systems to be used in applications requiring a high level of image detail.

WizSense with built-in artificial intelligence

The NVR4232-EI integrates WizSense technology and provides face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection and SMD directly through the recorder. This makes it possible to implement intelligent functions even when part of the AI processing is performed directly by the NVR.

SMD Plus on 4 channels

The NVR4232-EI supports recorder-based SMD Plus on 4 channels. This technology performs secondary filtering of people and motor vehicles, helping to reduce false alarms caused by leaves, rain and changes in lighting conditions.

Perimeter protection on 2 channels

Recorder-based perimeter protection is available on 2 channels, supporting up to 10 IVS rules per channel. With compatible cameras, camera-based AI perimeter protection can be used on all channels.

Face detection through the NVR

The NVR4232-EI supports recorder-based face detection on 1 channel, with processing of up to 12 face images per second. Supported attributes include gender, age group, glasses, expressions, face mask and beard.

Face recognition and database

The NVR4232-EI supports up to 10 face databases with a total of 20,000 images and a total capacity of up to 2.5 GB. Information such as name, gender, date of birth, address, ID type and number, country or region and status can be associated with the images.

Advanced AI through compatible cameras

In addition to the AI built into the NVR, the NVR4232-EI supports AI functions provided by compatible cameras, including face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD, ANPR, people counting, stereo analysis and heat map.

Bandwidth up to 256 Mbps

With AI disabled, the NVR4232-EI provides up to 256 Mbps incoming, 256 Mbps recording and 256 Mbps outgoing bandwidth. With AI enabled, it provides up to 180 Mbps incoming, 180 Mbps recording and 180 Mbps outgoing bandwidth.

High decoding capability

With AI disabled, the NVR4232-EI supports decoding of up to 2 channels 16MP@30 fps, 2 channels 12MP@30 fps, 4 channels 8MP@30 fps, 4 channels 6MP@30 fps, 6 channels 5MP@30 fps, 8 channels 4MP@30 fps, 16 channels 1080p@30 fps or 32 channels 720p@30 fps.

Decoding with AI enabled

With AI enabled, it supports decoding of up to 1 channel 16MP@30 fps, 2 channels 12MP@30 fps, 3 channels 8MP@30 fps, 3 channels 6MP@30 fps, 4 channels 5MP@30 fps, 6 channels 4MP@30 fps, 12 channels 1080p@30 fps, 16 channels 720p@30 fps or 32 channels D1@30 fps.

Smart H.265+ for storage optimisation

The recorder supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG, helping to optimise bandwidth usage and available hard drive storage space.

2 SATA HDDs up to 20TB each

The NVR4232-EI features 2 SATA ports, allowing up to 2 hard drives with a maximum capacity of 20TB each. It also supports disk grouping. Maximum supported HDD capacity may vary according to ambient temperature.

4K HDMI and VGA outputs

The NVR features 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output. The HDMI output supports resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 (4K), while VGA supports up to 1920 × 1080. Simultaneous or heterogeneous video sources can be configured for the VGA and HDMI outputs.

Multi-screen display

The NVR4232-EI supports 1, 4, 8, 9, 16, 25 or 36 divisions on the first screen. The second screen supports 1, 4, 8, 9 or 16 divisions.

Simultaneous playback of up to 16 channels

The NVR4232-EI supports simultaneous playback of up to 16 channels. Recording modes include general, motion detection, intelligent and alarm recording, while playback modes include instant, general, event, tag and smart playback.

Gigabit Ethernet

The NVR4232-EI features 1 × RJ-45 Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbps port, providing Gigabit connectivity suitable for professional IP video surveillance systems requiring high bandwidth.

ONVIF and professional integration

The recorder supports ONVIF 23.12 Profile T, Profile S and Profile G, as well as CGI and SDK. It is also compatible with third-party cameras including Panasonic, Sony, Hanwha, Axis, Pelco, Arecont and Canon.

4 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs

The NVR4232-EI features 4 alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs, allowing integration of the video surveillance system with external devices and different alarm actions.

Audio and USB interfaces

The recorder includes 1 RCA audio input and 1 RCA audio output and 2 USB ports: one front USB 2.0 port and one rear USB 2.0 port.

Professional 1U design

The NVR4232-EI measures 375 × 284.3 × 53 mm, uses a 12 VDC / 4 A power supply and consumes less than 10 W without HDD. It is designed for integration into professional IP video surveillance systems.
