The NVR4108HS-EI is a Dahua WizSense 8-channel NVR designed for professional IP video surveillance systems requiring advanced artificial intelligence functions. The NVR4108HS-EI allows connection and management of up to 8 IP cameras, supporting resolutions up to 16MP. WizSense technology combines high-resolution recording with AI functions designed to improve detection accuracy and event search in professional video surveillance systems.

WizSense AI built into the recorder

The NVR4108HS-EI features AI integrated directly into the recorder, supporting face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection and SMD. This allows selected intelligent functions to be processed directly by the NVR without relying exclusively on the camera's AI capabilities.

SMD Plus on 4 channels

The NVR4108HS-EI integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels. SMD Plus performs secondary filtering of people and motor vehicles, helping reduce false alarms caused by elements such as leaves, rain and changes in lighting conditions.

Perimeter protection on 2 channels

The recorder's AI supports perimeter protection on 2 channels, with up to 10 IVS rules per channel. This function allows intelligent analysis to be applied to relevant events in protected areas.

Face detection through the recorder

The NVR4108HS-EI supports face detection on 1 channel through the recorder's built-in AI, with processing capacity of up to 12 face images per second. Supported facial attributes include gender, age group, glasses, expressions, face mask and beard.

Face recognition and database up to 20,000 images

The NVR supports face recognition and allows up to 10 face databases with a total of 20,000 images, with a total capacity of 2.5 GB. Information such as name, gender, date of birth, address and identification details can be associated with the images.

AI through compatible cameras

In addition to the recorder's built-in AI, the NVR4108HS-EI supports intelligent functions from compatible cameras, including face detection, face recognition, perimeter protection, SMD, ANPR, people counting, stereo analysis and heat map.

SMD through compatible cameras

In addition to the 4 SMD Plus channels processed by the recorder, the NVR supports SMD from compatible cameras on all channels, with processing capacity of up to 16 targets per second.

The NVR4108HS-EI provides 80 Mbps incoming bandwidth, 80 Mbps recording bandwidth and 80 Mbps outgoing bandwidth, offering suitable capacity for professional IP video surveillance systems with up to 8 cameras.

With AI disabled, the NVR supports decoding up to 2 channels 16MP@30 fps, 2 channels 12MP@30 fps, 4 channels 8MP@30 fps, 4 channels 6MP@30 fps, 6 channels 5MP@30 fps or 8 channels 4MP@30 fps.

With AI enabled, the NVR4108HS-EI supports up to 1 channel 16MP@30 fps, 2 channels 12MP@30 fps, 3 channels 8MP@30 fps, 3 channels 6MP@30 fps, 4 channels 5MP@30 fps, 6 channels 4MP@30 fps or 8 channels 1080p@30 fps.

Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+

The NVR4108HS-EI supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG video compression. Smart H.265+ helps optimise bandwidth usage and storage capacity.

4K HDMI and VGA outputs

The recorder includes 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output. The HDMI output supports resolution up to 3840 × 2160 (4K), while the VGA output supports up to 1920 × 1080. Simultaneous operation or different video sources can be configured.

1 SATA HDD up to 20TB

The NVR4108HS-EI includes 1 SATA port for installation of a hard drive with capacity up to 20TB. Maximum supported capacity may vary depending on ambient temperature.

Recording and playback up to 8 channels

The NVR supports simultaneous playback of up to 8 channels and provides general, motion detection, intelligent and alarm recording modes. Playback can be instant, general, event-based, tag-based or smart playback.

ONVIF and multi-brand integration

The NVR4108HS-EI supports ONVIF 23.12 Profile T, Profile S and Profile G, CGI and SDK. It is compatible with cameras from different manufacturers, facilitating integration into professional multi-brand IP video surveillance systems.

Compact 1U design

The NVR features a compact 1U design with dimensions of 260 × 232.7 × 47.6 mm. It uses a 12 VDC / 2 A power supply and consumes less than 7.8 W without HDD.
