The NVR2108HS-4KS3 is a Dahua Lite 8-channel NVR designed for small and medium-sized professional IP video surveillance systems. It supports IP cameras with resolutions up to 12MP, integrates SMD Plus on 4 channels through the recorder and features one SATA port for installing an HDD with a capacity of up to 20TB.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 allows connection and management of up to 8 IP cameras, providing a compact solution for shops, offices, homes and other professional installations requiring an IP video surveillance system with up to 8 channels.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 supports IP cameras with resolutions of 12MP, 8MP, 6MP, 5MP, 4MP, 3MP, 1080p, 720p, 960p, D1, CIF and QCIF, allowing high-resolution cameras to be integrated for detailed image capture.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 provides recorder-based SMD Plus on 4 channels. This technology performs secondary filtering of people and motor vehicles, helping to reduce false alarms caused by elements such as leaves, rain or changes in lighting conditions.
The NVR supports perimeter protection through compatible IP cameras on all channels, with processing of up to 4 targets per second. This allows the system to take advantage of AI capabilities integrated into compatible cameras.
In addition to SMD Plus processed directly by the recorder, the NVR2108HS-4KS3 supports SMD through compatible IP cameras on all channels, with processing of up to 8 targets per second.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 provides 80 Mbps incoming bandwidth, 80 Mbps recording bandwidth and 60 Mbps outgoing bandwidth, offering suitable capacity for professional IP video surveillance systems with up to 8 channels.
With AI disabled, the recorder supports decoding of up to 1 channel 12MP@30 fps, 1 channel 8MP@30 fps, 2 channels 6MP@30 fps, 2 channels 5MP@30 fps, 3 channels 4MP@30 fps or 6 channels 1080p@30 fps.
With AI enabled, the NVR2108HS-4KS3 supports decoding of up to 1 channel 8MP@30 fps, 1 channel 6MP@30 fps, 1 channel 5MP@30 fps, 2 channels 4MP@30 fps or 4 channels 1080p@30 fps.
The recorder supports Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG video compression formats. Smart H.265+ helps optimise bandwidth usage and available HDD storage space in IP video surveillance systems.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 features 1 SATA port for installing a hard drive with a capacity of up to 20TB. Maximum supported capacity may vary according to ambient temperature, as specified by the manufacturer.
The NVR features 1 HDMI output and 1 VGA output. The HDMI output supports resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 (4K), while the VGA output supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1080, allowing direct connection to compatible monitors.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 supports multi-screen display modes of 1, 4, 8 or 9 divisions, making it easier to monitor multiple cameras at the same time.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 supports simultaneous playback of up to 8 channels. Recording modes include general, motion detection, intelligent and alarm recording, while playback modes include instant, general, event, tag and smart playback.

The recorder supports access through iOS and Android devices and network protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, UDP, NTP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, DDNS and P2P.
The NVR2108HS-4KS3 features 1 RCA audio input and 1 RCA audio output, as well as 2 USB 2.0 ports, one on the front and one on the rear, for configuration, control and backup operations.
With dimensions of only 260 × 232.5 × 47.6 mm, the NVR2108HS-4KS3 features a compact 1U design suitable for installations with limited space. It uses a 12 VDC / 1.5 A power supply and recorder power consumption is less than 10 W without HDD.
